What To Expect
Experience abseiling down the 20-metre Kangaroo Point Cliffs in the heart of Brisbane, with views across the Brisbane River and city skyline.
Begin by meeting your experienced instructors and getting fitted with your harness, helmet and abseiling equipment. Your instructors will take you through a safety briefing and explain how to position your body, handle the rope and control your descent.
At the top of the cliffs, take in the views as you wait for your turn. Watch CityCat ferries, boats and kayakers travel along the Brisbane River, with the city skyline providing a spectacular backdrop.
When it’s your turn, your instructor will connect your ropes and guide you into position at the edge. Lean back into your harness and begin stepping down the natural rock face, using the rope at your side to control your speed. Descend at a pace that feels comfortable, taking time to find your footing and enjoy the experience.
Your instructor will remain at the top of the cliffs managing a separate safety line and offering guidance and encouragement throughout your descent. Reach the bottom with a fresh perspective on Brisbane and the satisfaction of completing the challenge.
