2 Tanks Scuba Diving for Beginners in Cancun: MUSA Museum & Reef
Overview
Take a scuba dive lesson to explore the amazing underwater world in Cancun without need a scuba certification!
The activity starts at 8:00 a.m., to get to know your instructor and fill out a quick medical form. Next, you will take a basic theory and pool practice.
Then you will do two dives: First at MUSA Underwater Museum and then a natural reef full of marine life.
Afterward, you will be back to our location again, the activity ends around 1:30 p.m.
IMPORTANT: - People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy, or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive.
- Keep in mind you need to rest between 18 - 24 hours after diving before take an airplane.
- For this activity people must know how to swim, also consider for this activity you need to perform scuba skills in the water if you are not able to do it you can not dive for safety reasons, there is not refund back for these reasons, as the service is provided

What To Expect
Itinerary: Check-in 8:00 a.m. boat departure 9:30 a.m. and you will be back around 1:00 p.m.
For this activity you fill a medical questionary about your health, then you will take a basic theory lesson and pool practice in order to perform some skills to learn the basic of scuba diving, you will do this with an experienced and qualified instructor, after this you will take the boat to the dive sites and you will do two tank dives, first dive at MUSA Underwater Museum and second tank at Manchones reef, you will be returning to dock same place you departed.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
- People with asthma, heart or brain problems, high blood pressure, lung lesions, organ transplant, diabetes, epilepsy or any surgery less than 1 year, CAN NOT dive.
- Keep in mind you need to rest between 18 - 24 hours after diving before take an airplane.
- Bring ID, towels, swimsuit and/or any other thing for your personal care that you think you are going to use.
- As the activity is from a boat, we suggest take anti-nauseas pills, 1 or 2 hours before getting on the boat for best effects.
- For this activity people must know how to swim.

Participants in the 2 Tanks Scuba Diving for Beginners in Cancun: MUSA Museum & Reef cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
