    Long Point Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located at the very tip of Long Point, a remote peninsula in Provincetown’s West End, Massachusetts, marking the entrance to Provincetown Harbor. Built in 1826 and rebuilt in 1875, this 35.5-foot, square white brick tower with a black lantern is the third lighthouse on the site, replacing earlier structures from 1816 and 1826.     The Long Point Floaters in Provincetown, Massachusetts, are historic homes originally built in the early 19th century at the Long Point settlement, a fishing village on a remote peninsula at the tip of Cape Cod. Established around 1818, Long Point thrived with about 38 homes, a school, post office, bakery, and saltworks until the 1850s, when overfishing, declining salt prices, and isolation prompted residents to relocate. Rather than abandon their homes, approximately 30–40 families floated their houses across Provincetown Harbor on flat-bottomed scows during low tide, resettling them primarily in the West End and other parts of Provincetown, such as Commercial, Bradford, Atwood, and Point Streets.
