What To Expect

Your PADI Open Water Diver course at Jan Thiel Diving will take only 2 days. Our team of PADI Dive Instructors teach in 4 different languages. During the 2 days you will do 4 Open Water dives on our beautiful reefs. Moreover, Confined Water skills will be practised in our swimmingpool, right here on our property. The theoretical part of this course can be done through E-Learning (or from a book), which can be done even before your holiday starts. Remaining theory will be taught during the course.

Q: How soon can I fly in an airplane after Scuba diving?

A: Participants in the PADI Open Water Course in Curacao cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive. The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Q: Will I get seasick on PADI Open Water Course in Curacao?

If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
