Your journey begins in Silves, a scenic town once known as Xelb, the Moorish capital of the Algarve. Its hilltop castle stands as a striking reminder of Islamic rule.
Head to Lagos, a coastal gem steeped in maritime legacy. This vibrant town played a pivotal role in the Age of Discovery, and its streets echo with tales of explorers and kings. Discover key landmarks such as: The statue of Prince Henry; The historic slave market; The golden Church of St. Anthony; The statue of King Sebastian, a figure of national legend. Enjoy free time to savor local cuisine (lunch not included).
Stop at Ponta da Piedade to admire the most photographed rock formations in the Algarve.
As the day draws to a close, stand at the edge of the continent at Cape St. Vincent, famously known as “The End of the World.”
