What To Expect
Treat yourself to a magical break in the crystal clear waters of the Esterel creeks, one of the most beautiful natural jewels of the French Riviera. Put on your wetsuit, let yourself be guided by a passionate professional, and immerse yourself in a silent universe, populated by colorful fish, seagrass beds and rocks sculpted by time.
Programme: a diving baptism in the Calanques de l'Estérel
For a first dive, you might as well choose a spectacular setting! From Saint-Raphaël, explore the coves of the Estérel, jewel of the French Riviera. Beneath the surface, a colorful and vibrant world awaits you, ready to reveal all its secrets.
Presentation of the activity and safety briefing.
- Complete equipment with suit, mask, bottle and vest.
- Approach to the diving site in the calanque Saint-Barthélemy.
- Progressive immersion with a monitor at your side.
- Underwater exploration for about 20 minutes. (1 person at a time)
- Return to the beach and exchanges on the species observed.

Participants in the Diving in the Calanque Saint-Barthélemy cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
