Experience the true spirit of eastern Madeira on a unique combination of Jeep safari and Levada walk. Start at Pico do Arieiro (1818m) for breathtaking mountain views, then venture off-road through the mountains of Faial, surrounded by Madeira’s rich biodiversity.
Discover Santana and its traditional thatched-roof houses, some over 250 years old, before enjoying a scenic Levada walk through local agricultural landscapes. Meet local farmers, discover traditional crops and enjoy panoramic views over Porto da Cruz, the North Coast and Penha d’Águia.
In Porto da Cruz, visit a traditional rum distillery and learn about Madeira’s famous rum-making heritage. Finish at Ponta de São Lourenço, the island’s driest and windiest region, with spectacular views of both coasts.
