Gettysburg's Historic Taverns: An Evening Walking Tour
Overview
Balloon Rides, Murder, Tanks, Medal of Honor... some of Gettysburg’s colorful and unusual history happened in Taverns. Stroll with a Gettysburg Licensed Town Guide to the sites of some of Gettysburg’s most historic taverns and hear unusual but true stories that took place at these legendary watering holes. Your Guide will regale you with stories about Presidents, fires, civil war activities and Temperance societies. While you will not be consuming any food or drink during the tour, at the conclusion your Guide will provide each person with a voucher to a local establishment.
Gettysburg's taverns were more than drinking spots. You could sleep there, eat there, meet with others there. Those buildings that housed taverns teem with fascinating stories of Gettysburg's past.
