Located at the renowned Koloa Landing, your adventure promises encounters with green sea turtles, a rainbow of tropical fish, and, if you’re lucky, dolphins or rays. Every experience is guided by expert instructors who custom-tailor your dive to be safe, comfortable, and unforgettable—perfect for families, first-timers, and seasoned adventurers alike.

What To Expect
Once you’ve checked in at the dive shop, all your gear will be prepped and you’ll be transported to Koloa Landing—the island’s premium shore dive training area. Before you head underwater, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety and skill briefing covering the basics of SCUBA theory, equipment, communication, and in-water techniques. Practice your new skills in a calm, shallow environment until you feel fully confident.
Now it’s time to dive! You’ll explore breathtaking coral reefs to a maximum depth of 40 feet, with each guided dive lasting approximately 30–45 minutes. Opting for the two-tank adventure lets you discover a second, distinct reef ecosystem with varied marine life and scenery, conditions permitting. Throughout the day, your knowledgeable instructor will be by your side, making sure you’re comfortable, safe, and having an amazing time.
After your dive, relax as you’re transported back to the shop and celebrate your successful underwater adventure. The basics you learn here will help set you up for the Open Water Diver course should you wish to continue your diving journey.

Participants in the Kauai Scuba Diving for Beginners cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
