Overview

Climb aboard your catamaran, sail back into the ice age and hear about the history of the formation of the Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is one of the few places on Earth where you can see the planet’s mantle. Formed 450 million years ago, through a collision of continents, admire elevated plateaus of the Long Range Mountains. Enjoy a guided tour through a natural landscape shaped by ancient glaciers; spot bald eagles, moose, whales, and seabirds; and get a close up peek at a charming Newfoundland fishing village. Woody Point, a small rural community is rooted in history and heart. Talented musicians will entertain you on board with traditional NL music and song. And if you’re visiting from “Away,” you won’t want to miss becoming an Honourary Newfoundlander in a traditional Screech-In ceremony.
