Overview

Explore one of the most historically rich areas of Nice on this private walking tour through the tranquil hilltop district of Cimiez. Once an important Roman settlement known as Cemenelum, the area preserves remarkable traces of ancient civilization. Begin at the peaceful Cimiez Monastery, surrounded by beautiful gardens and panoramic views over the city. Continue through the scenic Jardin des Arènes de Cimiez before visiting the fascinating Musée Archéologique de Nice-Cimiez, where artifacts reveal the region’s Roman past. Nearby, explore the impressive remains of the Thermes Romains de Cimiez, a remarkable archaeological site that once served the ancient inhabitants of the city.
