Dominican Countryside Half Day Tour
Overview
See what everyday life is like in the Dominican countryside. There’s a long list of things to tick-off on this half-day trip including a sugarcane plantation visit, a cigar-rolling demonstration, plus coffee and fruit tasting. And if you upgrade to the full day option, there's a Higuey city tour, lunch at a mountain ranch and a beach break, too.
Head out into the open fields of the countryside and our first stop is a sugarcane plantation where you’ll learn about the island’s all-important industry used for making rum. There’ll be a fruit and coffee tasting session at a country home, alongside a chance to see how Dominican cigars are made at a rolling factory.
And if you’ve booked the full day option, you’ll also enjoy a Higuey city walking tour with entry to the famous Altagracia Basilica, a buffet lunch of local dishes, and a stop at Macao beach to swim, sunbathe and recharge.

Meeting and Pickup
Your booking includes a hotel pick-up and drop-off. You will receive a message from us informing you about the exact pick-up time and place. To be able to give you this information, it is essential that you have given us the name of the hotel where you are staying at.
