Overview
Experience the natural beauty of the Glenorchy region on a relaxed half-day journey from Queenstown to the Routeburn Nature Loop.
Travel alongside Lake Whakatipu through spectacular mountain scenery and visit Glenorchy before reaching the Routeburn. Cross the famous Routeburn swing bridge and join your local guide for an easy-paced 1.5 / 2 hours walk through ancient native beech forest, ferns, mosses and lichens.
Follow the well-defined nature trail beside clear waterways, surrounded by native birdlife and forest, while your guide shares stories about the area's flora, fauna, geology and cultural and historical significance.
It's the ideal way to experience the magic of the Routeburn Track - one of New Zealand's Great Walks - without committing to a full-day hike.
