Scuba diving is one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have. It's like being a kid again—you get to explore, discover new things, and just be in the moment. And now, with Discover Scuba Dive, you can try it without committing to three days of classes! With our 1-day class, you'll get all the attention you need to make sure you feel comfortable and confident while under water.
We know that sometimes it's hard to find time to commit to something new, so we've made it easy for you: no prior experience is needed! Book this diving class, and we'll take care of the rest. We'll provide all equipment and training materials, so there's no need for extra purchases or hassle.
Our classes are small groups (maximum 2 people per class), so you'll get more attention. You will experience what scuba diving is like without the commitment of a 3-day course. Short on time? Try Discover Scuba Diving.

What To Expect
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, are short on time or just aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, PADI's one-day Discover Scuba Diving Experience is for you!
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience is an introductory course that allows you to see what diving is all about! We cover some basic theory here at the dive centre, organise equipment and head off for a instructor-lead guided dive in the ocean (not a swimming pool!) to see some of Sydney’s fascinating marine life under the waves. With a 2:1 Student to instructor ratio you will have plenty of time to ask questions and enjoy your first experience scuba diving.
All snorkelling and scuba equipment is included in the course cost. All you need to bring is your swimmers or bathing suit and a towel. Sunscreen and other forms of sun protection (hat, long sleeved tee, etc) are also recommended.

Participants in the Half-Day Private Discover Dive at Australia’s Iconic Beach cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (AEDT).
