What To Expect
Ever dreamed of breathing underwater and exploring a whole new world? Our Discover Scuba Diving experience at Casa Cenote is the perfect introduction to scuba—no certification or previous diving experience required!
Meet your PADI Instructor at our dive center, where your adventure begins with a relaxed introduction to the basics of scuba diving. We’ll cover the essential theory and safety skills, explain how your equipment works, and make sure you’re comfortably fitted with everything you need. Then, we’ll head to the crystal-clear waters of Casa Cenote to put your new skills into practice.
Once you’re comfortable, it’s time for the real adventure: your first scuba dive! Explore the clear, refreshing waters of Casa Cenote and discover its fascinating underwater environment, with the chance to encounter some of the fish and aquatic life that inhabit the cenote.
It’s a fun, safe, and unforgettable way to experience scuba diving for the first time—and a great opportunity to discover whether you’d like to take the next step toward becoming a certified Open Water Diver.

No, you don’t need to have any previous Scuba experience, but you must be able to swim without a flotation device.
Mar 2022Participants in the Discover Scuba Diving at Casa Cenote – No Experience Needed cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
