The painting was completed in 1497 on the dining room wall of this former monastery. The representation by Leonardo da Vinci depicted the moment when Jesus Christ said, “One of you will betray me”.
It is an enormous painting 4,6mt high and 8,8mt long realized with tempera & oil on a chalk preparation, different from the technique used at the time.
The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is just in 20 minutes walking distance from Duomo.
A licensed local guide will show you this masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci, revealing many surprising facts about the the composition, perspective & the technique used, as well as the history of the site.
A limited number of visitors are admitted at the same time.

- We are not responsible for any rare force majeure events which cause the closure of the museum (strikes, VIP or celebrity visits, political reasons, etc.). In that case, no refund will be provided, we will send you the tickets and you will enter museum as soon as it reopens
- The meeting point is in front of the church entrance, right in front of the main door of the church (big dark brown wooden door of the church).
