Routeburn Guided Hike Experience - Full Day
Overview
Experience one of New Zealand's celebrated Great Walks on a full-day guided adventure along the Routeburn Track. Travel from Queenstown alongside Lake Whakatipu and through Glenorchy before entering Mount Aspiring National Park and the UNESCO World Heritage listed Te Wāhipounamu wilderness.
Cross the Routeburn swing bridge into ancient native beech forest and follow the beautiful Routeburn River past waterfalls, gorges and mountain valleys as the track climbs towards Routeburn Flats before the steeper ascent up towards Routeburn Falls.
Your experienced local guide shares knowledge of native plants, birds, geology and history along the way. With approx 6-7 hours of hiking within the 10-hour day, this is an incredible option for active travellers wanting to experience the Routeburn without an overnight stay.

What To Expect
Hike the world-famous Routeburn Track for 7 hours on a full-day guided adventure in Mount Aspiring National Park. Cross the swing bridge, follow the river through ancient beech forest and climb past waterfalls towards Routeburn Falls.

- A moderate level of fitness is required
- Please bring sturdy hiking shoes, medication, water, camera or phone, daypack, sun protection and waterproof jacket. A hat and gloves are recommended in cooler weather.
- Pickup from selected central Queenstown accommodations is included. Please contact us to reconfirm pick up arrangement and time.
- A minimum of 2 passengers is required to confirm departure. On NZ statutory holidays, a minimum of 4 passengers applies. If minimum numbers are not met, an alternative departure or a full refund will be offered.
