Overview
Start your experience at the Touristation Aracoeli office (Piazza d’Aracoeli 16) and board a panoramic bus to the Catacombs. Enjoy a guided underground tour and discover the vast network of tunnels that served as burial sites and places of worship for early Christians in Rome.
After the visit, the panoramic bus will drop you near a Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off stop. From there, reach the Capuchin Crypt on Via Veneto and explore independently with an audioguide. Located inside the Museum of the Capuchin Friars at Santa Maria della Concezione, the museum highlights the history and spirituality of the Capuchin order.
Admire the famous “Bone Chapel,” a unique Baroque masterpiece decorated with the remains of nearly 4,000 friars arranged along five chapels.
