Pompeii Express Day Trip: High-Speed Train from Rome
Overview
Meet our group leader at Termini Station in Rome and board the modern high-speed train to Naples. The lost city of Pompeii awaits after a one-hour ride and a quick transfer by coach. With your skip-the-line ticket in hand, enter the ruins and explore at your own pace.
Step back in time as you wander the ancient cobblestone streets where bakeries, shops, and even hidden brothels stand as ghostly reminders of a past civilisation. Take in the tragic yet awe-inspiring plaster casts of the immortalized silent witnesses to the fury of Mt. Vesuvius during their devastating last moments alive. Feel the mystery deepen as you explore the perfectly preserved ruins of a city trapped in time.
Take some time for a leisurely lunch, then return to the pre-set meeting point. Hop on our private air-conditioned coach for the short ride back to Naples before a smooth high-speed train journey back to Rome.
As outlined above, this experience is self-guided inside the ruins at Pompeii.
